August 2024 | Community messaging around Self-Study redux (both Town Hall/Retreat and Provost’s Forum); we will reconfirm Standard Leads and Teams this fall and pick up the work in earnest Spring 2025. We expect teams to be smaller and the work to be streamlined in light of curriculum redesign and transformation. |
Fall 2024 | Convene Steering Committee, finalize Standard Leads, and determine streamlined role for Teams; send any Steering Committee members who missed training last year to NECHE workshop in October; review the Self-Study Guide. Build a web page devoted to the NECHE self-study. Create evidence repository and continue assembling data; update working Canvas shell with finalized guidelines, timelines, and milestones for the process. Communicate with NECHE re: how to best frame Self-Study narrative given the other work that is happening across the college. |
October 2024 | Provost reintroduces Board of Trustees (BOT) to the self-study plan and timeline. (See the Standards Preamble.) |

Spring 2025 | Standard Teams examine evidence, identify gaps, and write “messy” bullets for Description and Appraisal; based on feedback from teams and writers, IR team continues collecting evidence for description and appraisal. Establish a budget in the President’s Office for FY 2026 that accounts for site visit, writers, proofreaders, printing, etc. |
Summer 2025 | Lead Writers begin drafting the Description and Appraisal for all of the Standards. |
August 2025 | Remind the community of what is happening with the self-study process at the Town Hall; share drafts of Description and Appraisal with Standards Teams for feedback. |

February 2026 | Lead writers draft Projections iteratively with Cabinet Liaisons and continue to fill in any gaps in Appraisal. |
March 2026 | Post a public (internal) draft for feedback from the College community; Lead Writers and Steering Committee incorporate feedback and give draft a close read; proofreader external to the Committee copy edits the draft. |
