Financing study abroad is complicated as there are many options with different implications. The good news is that some of these options cost the same or less than living and eating on campus in 足彩胜负14场.
Cost Summaries & Available Options

A semester in Montreal or Dublin
- Tuition and financial aid remains the same as it is in 足彩胜负14场 with the exception of work study grants which may not be used outside of the US. Housing costs are in line with 足彩胜负14场 options and paid the same way 足彩胜负14场 housing is paid.
- There are no meal plans so students will buy their own food. Plane tickets and visas are an additional cost but money saved in other places may cover this cost.

A semester at an exchange location
- Tuition and financial aid remains the same as it is in 足彩胜负14场 with the exception of work study grants which may not be used outside of the US.
- Housing costs are generally less expensive than 足彩胜负14场 options. Housing is paid to the foreign institution.
- There are no meal plans so students will buy their own food. Plane tickets and visas are an additional cost but money saved in other places may cover this cost.

A semester at a third-party location
- Tuition, housing and fees are set by the third party. It may be more or less expensive than Champlain.
- There is a $750 study abroad fee payable to Champlain.
- Federal, state and external financial aid usually transfers through Champlain to the third party program.
- Champlain financial aid cannot be used for a third-party program.
- A summer program in Montreal or Dublin

The summer Freeman Asia internship program
- There is a grant which covers the program and housing.
- Students are responsible for their plane ticket, visa, insurance, food and personal expenses. There is a small stipend which will help pay for some of these expenses.

A summer third-party program
This is completely separate from Champlain. Fees vary greatly from program to program.

A faculty-led study abroad program
There are no additional scholarships available for these programs. However, educational savings and loans may be used.

A club or service learning program abroad
This is not technically an educational program so no financial aid or educational savings can be used.
Additional Costs
Students will be responsible for their transportation, meals, Irish immigration fee (if applicable), books and personal costs*.
