Tamie-Jo Dickinson

Biography

Tamie-Jo Dickinson is a National Board Certified Business Teacher and teaches business and entrepreneur classes at CVU High School, Champlain, CCV, VTC, Castleton, and through the Governor’s Institute of Vermont. She has decades of teaching under her belt and is skilled at making complex topics seem easy and attainable. Her passion is teaching entrepreneurship and business social responsibility. She provides training opportunities for teachers around the state on how to implement entrepreneurship into their curriculum, and her students have been winners of many state-wide business plan competitions. She teaches Managerial Accounting at Champlain, and she works as an educational consultant for the Vermont Small Business Development Center.

Hobbies and Interests: Tamie is a certified Jazzercise Instructor, which means she is actually a franchise owner! She teaches adult classes twice a week, and she teaches programs for young children during the summer.

Jeevan DSouza

Biography

Dr. Jeevan D’Souza has been an adjunct professor of computer science and mathematics at Champlain College 足彩胜负14场 since 2017. Prior to joining CCO he has worked as an academic, IT manager, computer programmer, and electronics engineer.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) from Shivaji University, India, in 2000, a master’s in EE from the University of Texas in 2003, a graduate certificate in computer engineering at Polytechnic Institute of NYU in 2005 and a PhD in computer science from Nova Southeastern University in 2012.

His teaching interests are in the fields of digital circuit design, computer programming, robotics, and embedded systems. He currently lives in Miami and is enjoying the sunshine.

Danielle Duerr

Biography

Danielle earned a BFA in Dance and a BA in French from SUNY Brockport in 2015. Before starting at Champlain College 足彩胜负14场, Danielle worked as a manager at Barnes & Noble. There, she found a passion for building relationships with people to help them with their needs. She is eager to take that skill and begin her career in higher education as an Academic Advisor. She is excited to build relationships with the students to help them realize their academic and personal goals. When she is not working, Danielle enjoys camping, reading, and baking delicious treats.

What are your hobbies?

Baking, camping, reading, and dancing

Damian Dunbar

Biography

Dr. Dunbar thoroughly enjoys bringing his leadership expertise into the educational environment to share his experiences and bring coursework alive. He is highly experienced in employee development and training, human resources, financial analysis, budget operations, personnel development, and leadership management. He served in the United States Army as an analyst for the United States Government. While on active duty, he served as an instructor, writer, developer, and program evaluator at the United States Army Finance School located at Fort Jackson, SC. His primary motivation for working in education is his experience, interest, and passion for developing others’ talents and defining their goals.

Throughout his career, he has been highly dedicated to the learning, training, and advancement of others. He incorporated professional and adult learning and education into each position. He has 30 + years of experience developing programs to assess workforce capabilities and deficiencies, allowing individualized programs to enhance employee skills and he enjoys doing this for his students. His goal in the online classroom is to create a comfortable and interactive learning environment based on respect rather than fear of the subject matter. To achieve that, he builds a strong rapport with his students to be presented in an environment conducive to learning. Likewise, communication is essential to an effective teaching and learning process in the academic setting.

Patrick Eller

Biography

Patrick is currently the CEO of Metadata Forensics, LLC. He is also a Disabled Veteran who spent 20 years in the United States Army where he served as a Special Agent for the US Army Criminal Investigation Command. During his time at CID Patrick served as the Command Digital Forensic Examiner in charge of a global digital forensic program focused on felony level investigation which involved digital evidence. Patrick has been an adjunct for CCO since 2015.

Ellen Emery

Biography

Ellen graduated from UVM with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Math and Spanish. She attended the University of Seville, Spain for one year. She earned her teaching licenses in Secondary Math and Spanish from Saint Michael’s College where she went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Education. She taught Spanish for 22 years. In 2010, she began work at the Teacher Apprenticeship Program (TAP) where she now serves as the Director at Champlain College.

What are your hobbies?

Zumba, gardening, reading, scrap booking, furniture refinishing, games, and walking the dog

Larraby Fellows

Biography

Larraby is an award-winning Instructional Designer who has worked in higher education for 20+ years. She has a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Bennington College, a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree from Simmons University and a M.A. in Leadership Studies from Northern Vermont University.

She has worked as an academic librarian, instructor, or instructional designer at Bennington College, Union Institute & University, the Community College of Vermont and the Vermont State Colleges system.

Larraby has taught online for the Community College of Vermont and Vermont State University for 10+ years, including CCV courses: Dimensions of Self & Society, Technical Writing & Research, World Mythology, and VTSU Leadership Studies/graduate capstone course Scholar-Practitioner Inquiry.

Larraby grew up in Southern Vermont and now lives in Worcester, Vermont with her two daughters, husband, and unruly flock of cats.

What are your hobbies?

Cinema, painting, pottery, knitting, furniture restoration, crafting of any kind, and baking with my daughters.

Jennifer Ferrara

Biography

Gin considers herself a “multimediator” — a person who helps folks use media to tell their own stories and connect to their communities. She has taught video-making to young people and community members for most of her life. Gin co-founded Baltimore’s Wide Angle Youth Media and was the Executive Director for 10 years, building an organization from the ground up. In Vermont since 2011, she was the host of The Upside VT radio show and co-founded the 足彩胜负14场 story community Storytelling VT. Jonathan Fowler

Biography

He has been in the data/analytics field since 2007. His background in the humanities gives him a unique perspective on data analytics as narrative, and experience in education as a teacher and counselor help bring a nurturing mindset to the business.

He has served as sole or lead analytics developer in the fields of consumer product goods, manufacturing, banking, law, human resources, and IT managed services. He has worked at both the team lead and individual contributor role in data engineering, data integration, predictive analytics, and data visualization. He has acted as an outsourced Chief Data Officer for implementing company data strategies.

Always an educator, Dr. Fowler has taught at the graduate level for analytics and data science, and has published multiple papers in the field. Dr. Fowler holds a D.C.Sc. in Big Data Analytics from Colorado Technical University, M.Ed., and B.A. in English from Clemson University. His doctoral research was the early core of the LDIS+? Analytics Impact Framework.
