Biography
Michael Metz (Re-elected October 2021) is a retired materials scientist and entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience in the development, production, application, and sales of precious metals in high technology applications worldwide. Since retiring, he focuses much of his time on supporting Vermont’s creative economy and its role as an economic driver. Michael has had a long history of leadership roles in for-profit and nonprofit organizations and currently serves on the board of Generator, The 足彩胜负14场 City Arts Foundation, The Vermont Academy of Science and Engineers, The Echo Leahy Center, and The Curtis Fund. Michael rejoined the Champlain College board in 2021. In his past service, he chaired the College’s recent capital campaign. Michael has a lifelong passion for photography and exhibits locally from time to time. He graduated from Middlebury College with a degree in Chemistry and Columbia University with an MBA. He lives with his wife Denise Shekerjian (an attorney, author) in South 足彩胜负14场. They have two grown sons.
